By now, most of you have heard about Petrino telling Dutch Fork running back and 2014 S.C. Mr. Football Matt Colburn that he no longer had room for him to sign Wednesday. Colburn had been committed to Petrino for months; getting this news 48 hours before signing day was a devastating blow.
The fact Petrino’s word means nothing isn’t exactly breaking news. The odd part of this is the fact that Petrino, or whoever runs his official Twitter account, is retaliating against anyone who dared to call him out for his latest round of shenanigans by blocking them from accessing his Twitter feed.
I believe @CoachPetrinoUL has blocked every person from the state of South Carolina. Whoever runs his Twitter account has been busy.

When we saw the above tweet we got curious and clicked on Petrono’s Twitter account and discovered that we had been blocked. This was a stunner. We’ve never followed Petrino, nor have we ever mentioned or tagged his Twitter handle in any of our posts or tweets. I did tweet this Monday night when I found out what happened to Colburn:
Bobby Petrino just screwed over someone? Shocking. — SportsTalk (@sportstalksc) February 3, 2015
Later that night Kornblut posted a story about Coluburn’s situation, the one where Dutch Fork coach Tom Knotts said he is finished dealing with Petrino. But really? This was enough for Petrino to search out the SportsTalk Twitter feed and block us? And we don’t even follow him. Why go out of your way to block someone who doesn’t care enough about you to follow you or tweet at you in the first place? Who does that? Bobby Petrino, that’s who.
But we weren’t the only ones:

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Petrino is no stranger to acting like a complete a-hole. We could fill up this entire space rehashing things like sneaking off to meet with Auburn (while he was still the head coach of Louisville), quitting on the Atlanta Falcons before the season ended by posting a letter in the locker room, and becoming a national joke at Arkansas. We all know that if Bobby Petrino’s mouth is moving, he’s probably lying. That’s established. But someone on Twitter raised a question that remains a mystery:

That’s a good question. Bobby Petrino probably blocked her for asking it.
