OL Jack DeFoor (6-5 268) of Calhoun, GA was one of the juniors invited to Clemson on Saturday. He did not arrive with a Tiger offer but he had one before he left. And that has put him in the mood to think strongly about a commitment to Clemson.
“It’s just whenever that I’ll know I’m ready to make a decision,” DeFoor said. “It could be tomorrow. It could be February 4th. I’ll know when I know, you know?”
DeFoor plays offensive tackle and enjoyed hit time visiting with line coach Robbie Caldwell and learning more about the program and how he might fit in.
“Most of all I liked all the coaches and the people there,” DeFoor said. “They aren’t bullcrapping you. They really are great people. They say they like me because I was a tough and nasty player this year and that’s what they are looking for. They are looking for athletic linemen. They said I’m the right fit for them. Clemson, they are at the top of my list and I could definitely maybe see myself being there one day. When I know, I’ll know.”
DeFoor also has offers from Cincinnati, Middle Tennessee, Georgia Southern and Appalachian State. He has no other visits planned at this point.
DeFoor was named first team 3A All State in Georgia last season.
