One of the top commitments in USC’s 2015 class is DB Damon Arnette of Fort Lauderdale. He has been committed to the Gamecocks since July and continues to hold to that pledge.
But his resolve is being tested by Michigan and Ohio State. Arnette visited the Wolverines last weekend and will visit Ohio State January 30th. This weekend he’ll make his official visit to USC.
“Well, he’s typically confused and we shall see on this visit,” said St. Thomas Aquinas athletics director and former coach George Smith. The school currently is without a head coach and Smith is handling the recruiting of the school’s players. “We have talked about it and he is definitely coming.”
USC, Ohio State and Michigan have been in to see Arnette and Smith said they remain the three schools Arnette is focused on.
Smith said he expects Arnette to make a final decision before National Signing Day.
