Clemson was not able to sustain the momentum from Saturday’s impressive win over Syracuse. The Tigers came out flat against Florida State, fell into an early hole, and eventually lost 59-55 at Littlejohn Coliseum.
The loss drops the Tigers to 10-8 overall and 2-4 in the ACC. Florida State improves to 10-9 and 2-4.
The Tigers went over 8 minutes late in the first half without a basket and trailed by 12 until closing to within 28-22 at the half.
The Seminoles stretched the lead back out to 12 in the second half but Clemson fought back and had a chance to tie in the final ten seconds and trailing 57-55.
A three pointer by Damarcus Harrison, however, was off the mark and Florida State scored on a break away to ice the win.
