Tuesday, Goose Creek head coach Chuck Reedy retired following a 13 year stint at the school. During that time, Reedy took the program from the doldrums to one of the most respected in the state.
Tonight, coach Reedy was kind enough to join us to talk about his reasons for making this his final season, and took a stroll down memory lane through, not only his accomplishments with the Gators, but his time at Clemson and Baylor as well.
Reedy went 119-47 during his stint at Goose Creek, winning a state title in 2011, and was also on the staff at Clemson during their national championship run in 1981. He told us both where the two rank in his mind in terms of his accomplishments during his time on the sidelines.
During his recent run of dominance with the Gators, Goose Creek was also disqualified from defending their state title in 2012 because of a controversial player eligibility issue. We briefly looked back on his squad being denied that opportunity as well.
