A pair of North Carolina talents, one in the 2015 class and one in the 2016 class, will make commitment announcements over the next two days, and Clemson is in the running for both.
Senior DB Mook Reynolds of Greensboro will announce his final choice tonight at 6:00 PM. He has been committed to Virginia Tech since February and was only recently offered by Clemson after Juwan Briscoe decommitted. He’s also been considering Michigan. Based on the fact Virginia Tech internet websites are heavily promoting their presence at the announcement, it would appear Reynolds plans to stick with the Hokies.
Friday at around noon junior OL Sean Pollard of Southern Pines, NC will make his college choice known. Clemson has a much better shot here. Pollard has visited Clemson multiple times with various members of his family and has talked in very positive terms about the school and recruiter Robbie Caldwell. Duke, NC State, North Carolina and Wake Forest are the others under consideration.
