DL Albert Huggins of Orangeburg-Wilkinson will announce his decision between Clemson and Georgia next Friday at 11:00 AM at the school auditorium. Wednesday Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney had his final in person meeting with Huggins according to O-W coach Tommy Brown. And Thursday Georgia coach Mark Richt followed suit.
“He said they were both good visits,” Brown said. “He’s looking at a variety of things. A chance to play early or late, that’s not too much of a difference to him but that will play a part in it. And the closeness of the program and how the players respond to their coaches.”
Huggins took an official visit to Clemson for the USC game. He has also taken a visit to Georgia. And after meeting with the head coaches, his coach believes Huggins has a good feel for where he wants to go.
“I’m kind of thinking he’s close (on a decision),” Brown said. “He’s down to those two schools. The decision is probably there, he’s just putting the final pieces together.”
Brown does expect recruiters from both schools to visit Huggins one more time next week. Huggins will be an early graduate and will enroll in college in January.
