Just when you think it can’t get worse for the Carolina Panthers in 2014, it does.
This season has seen a once top-flight defense be reduced to mediocre, largely because of issues with pro-bowl defensive end Greg Hardy, to go along with an offense devoid of an identity and playmakers.
Meanwhile, despite the Panthers many struggles, the entire NFC South division has been atrocious, continuing to dangle the division crown at the feet of Carolina.
Yesterday it was the Special Teams’ opportunity to be the goat. The Panthers punt unit gave up two blocks and had both of them returned for touchdowns.
Our good friend, and Panther play-by-play man Mick Mixon joined us tonight on SportsTalk to review the 31-13 loss to Minnesota.
