Even with the status of Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson in question, the Tigers have opened as a the favorite in Saturday’s game against rival South Carolina. According to VegasInsider, Clemson is a 4.5 point favorite over the Gamecocks.
USC has won five in a row in this series, but the Gamecocks have spun their tires this season, mostly on defense. Clemson has the top rated defense in the country, but it’s offense has sputtered without Deshaun Watson calling the shots. Watson’s knee injury is listed as day-to-day by the Clemson staff, but the Vegas wise guys must think Cole Stoudt is good enough to beat the Gamecocks.
Saturday’s game kicks off at noon on Death Valley. The game will be televised by ESPN.
