Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson’s broken finger has healed to the point where he is again throwing the football and his return to the field is getting close. The original time table was the Georgia Tech game on November 15th, but Tigers offensive coordinator Chad Morris didn’t rule out the possibility that Watson could play next Thursday at Wake Forest. It doesn’t sound especially probable that Watson will play against the Demon Deacons, but nothing has been ruled out. Dabo Swinney has made it clear, Watson will resume his role as the starter once he returns from injury. Clemson has struggled offensively since Watson went down with the injury early in a win over Louisville. Cole Stoudt has taken every snap since that injury.
