The Clemson offense is not the smooth running, high octane machine of yesteryear. The Tigers right now are just sputtering along scoring just enough points to give their defense enough help for a win. That was again the case Saturday night in the 16-6 victory over Syracuse. The offense produced one touchdown and three field goals. The defense didn’t allow a touchdown. How much longer can Clemson survive like that? Will the return of Deshaun Watson in three weeks change everything?
