6-5 Tevin Mack of Dreher is down to his final official visit. After seeing Georgia, VCU, Clemson and Connecticut, Mack and his mother will spend this weekend at USC.
Connecticut was his most recent visit as he went up to Storrs last weekend.
“He said it was nice up there,” Mack’s mother said. “He really enjoyed it. It was a different environment. He’s never been that far north before. He watched the team practice and he really liked the coaches.”
Mack and his mother have been to USC before and she said they are looking forward to one final visit with Gamecock coach Frank Martin and staff before making the decision.
“It will be nice to mingle and meet the players and coaches,” she said. “He’ll be looking at the academics and their day to day routine. We’ve enjoyed all the visits.”
After this weekend’s visit, the decision from Mack shouldn’t be far off.
“Next week, with a question mark,” his mother said. “There’s no favorite. He hasn’t told me.”
As for her favorite? “No comment,” she said though she admitted she has one. “I told him whatever he decides, where he feels comfortable, if it’s right up the street or up north, it’s alright by me as long as he gets his education.”
