2016 WR Samuel Denmark of Hanahan has had a lot of exposure to Clemson in recent weeks. He made unofficial visits with the Tigers for the North Carolina and NC State games. He had an opportunity to speak with coaches and heard some encouraging words.
“I talked to coach (Tony) Elliott and coach (Jeff) Scott,” Denmark said. “They told me they liked me and to just keep working and they were going to keep looking at me. They wanted to see more film of me so I sent them some.”
Denmark is still waiting on his first official offer but said that Notre Dame has extended a verbal offer. He visited South Bend earlier this season when the Irish hosted Michigan.
“It was a good experience,” Denmark said. “I like the coaches and how they treated us. The facilities are really nice and it’s a lot bigger than I expected.”
Wake Forest is next up for Denmark as he visits Winston-Salem Saturday. USC, Clemson, NC State, Notre Dame and Wake Forest are some of the programs showing interest in Denmark. He does not have a favorite.
He had 18 receptions for 390 yards and four touchdowns this season going into Friday night’s game.
