Here is a recap of the third quarter of Clemson-FSU from here in Tallahassee:
- Florida State had the ball to start the second half. FSU started on its own 32. FSU came out motivated. Sean Maguire led the Noles down the field for their first touchdown of the game. They went 68 yards in nine plays and took 3:52 off the clock. That tied the game at 10 with 11:05 left in the quarter.
- Clemson started its first drive of the second half on its own 25. Watson was the quarterback on the drive. The Tigers picked up one first down before they punted.
- Florida State started the next drive from its own 25. The Noles grabbed one first down, but punted on the next series. A Stephone Anthony sack on first down busted up the drive.
- After the punt, Clemson started on its own 27. Watson stayed in at quarterback. Watson proceeded to put together another solid drive. The Tigers moved to the FSU 20 when Watson hit Staton Seckinger to the one. One play later Clemson had a second and goal from two inches out. On that play the snap went over Watson’s head for a 23 yard loss. They ran a draw on the next play to end the quarter.
