Junior QB Matt Dame (6-2 175) of Riviera Beach, FL camped at Clemson this summer and continues to have interest in the Tigers. Dame enjoyed the trip and meeting coach Chad Morris.
“Coach Morris seemed like a real good guy,” he said. “He told me he wants to see what I do as a junior (at quarterback) and that he is going to keep in touch with me. I really liked the facilities. I like the atmosphere and the town. It’s a really nice place.”
Dame has offers from Miami and Akron and is also hearing from Florida, Georgia, Central Florida, South Florida and Arkansas among others.
“They’re all pretty much telling me what Clemson is telling me,” Dame said. “They want to see what I do this year so I’m just playing as best I can.”
This summer he also attended camps at Florida, Florida State, Miami, Central Florida and Georgia. His next visits will be to Florida as he plans to attend the Kentucky and LSU games at The Swamp.
“I want to go to games at Georgia and LSU but I haven’t got definite dates on those visits yet,” he said.
He named Clemson and Florida as schools of strong interest.
As a sophomore Dame threw for over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns.
