Artavis Scott continued his record setting performance early in the quarter. The freshman from Florida set the school record for receiving yards in a game with 164 including a six yard catch and run for a score. In all honesty, he took a short pitch from Watson on the jet sweep and scored but it is viewed as a pass reception for statistical purposes. And it made the score 65-0.
That changed quickly to 67-0 when State had a high snap on a punt roll thru the end zone for a safety.
After the kickoff, the Tigers scored again, this time on a 4 yard run by freshman Adam Choice.
The Bulldogs finally get on the scoreboard with a 35 yard fumble return by Dominique Mitchell to make it a 73-7 game.
The 73 points are the most for Clemson since they put 82 on the board against Wake Forest in 1981. And the Tigers finished with 735 total yards, third most in school history.
