The Bulldogs came out in the second half intent on giving the ball to Todd Gurley who had only 4 carries in the first half, albeit for 44 yards. Gurley had 4 carries for 25 yards on the drive and Hutson Mason completed 3 passes for 31 yards. But a third down pass to the back of the end zone from the Clemson 10 was well defended and the Bulldogs settled for a 27 yard field goal by Marshall Morgan and a 24-21 lead.
The rest of the quarter was a punting contest as the teams combined for six punts and only 7 first downs, six of them by Georgia.
End of quarter…Georgia 24-21
