NASCAR has dropped the 2015 schedule, a slate that included a Labor Day weekend date for the Track Too Tough To Tame.
The Southern 500 was a Labor Day tradition at Darlington until the powers that be at NASCAR moved the race, first to California and eventually to its current spot in Atlanta.
This will be the first time since 2003 that the Southern 500 has been held on Labor Day weekend.
Now Atlanta will get a March race date and Bristol will take over the mid-April slot Darlington had.
Darlington president Chip Wile joined us on SportsTalk Tuesday night to expound on the return to Labor Day for the Southern 500.
