A little over a week ago, WR Juval Mollette of Randleman, NC chose North Carolina over Clemson committing at Larry Fedora’s Freak Show in Chapel Hill. Mollette had been juggling between the Tigers and Tar Heels as his leader but said the lack of contact from Clemson, in part, helped to make his decision.
“The only Clemson coach that I’ve really heard from since the spring was coach (Robbie) Caldwell who still sends me letters,” Mollette said. “Coach (Jeff) Scott just sort of disappeared. I haven’t heard from him at all. (North) Carolina has stayed on me hard so I decided to commit about a week ago.”
Mollette cited the strong recruiting class he feels the Tar Heels are compiling as another reason he chose UNC. He also likes the talent in place in Chapel Hill. “I think my commitment, and a couple of other guys committing, moved us into the top 15,” he said. “That, and the fact that there is a lot of young talent already in place up there has me excited about the future.”
Mollette said that his commitment is strong and he has no intentions of taking other visits.
