North Carolina had long been the favorite of Swansea LB Johnathon Sutton and Saturday he followed thru on his feelings by making a commitment to the Tar Heels while attending a camp there according to his coach. Sutton missed most of his junior season with a torn ACL but North Carolina, led by recruiter Ron West, never wavered in their interest.
“It just feels like home, it feels like the people in Swansea,” Sutton said earlier this month. “Their depth chart at linebacker is pretty small so I could get some playing time. And the coaching staff is good.”
Sutton also had offers from NC State, Virginia Tech, Duke, Louisville, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Georgia and LSU.
