Now that the college baseball season has officially come to a close in the state, we can turn our attention to the upcoming 2014 college football season.
We’re now roughly three months removed from kickoff between USC and Texas A&M, who will get the season underway breaking in the SEC Network on a Thursday night in Columbia.
We’ll surely be previewing the upcoming season heavily in this football craved state until the Gamecocks and Aggies kick things off at Williams Brice Stadium on August 28, and decided tonight was the perfect night to get things started.
Friday night we welcomed back into SportsTalk USC quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus to update us on how things are progressing with starter Dylan Thompson and the rest of the depth chart at the position.
Much of our conversation involved Dylan Thompson taking over the reigns of one of the most successful quarterbacks ever at USC, Connor Shaw, and how things may look a little different under center this season with Shaw now in the NFL.
Mangus, who was fresh off the recruiting trail, also broke down how he believes the rest of his depth chart will shake out with us and much more.
