Thursday afternoon the USC football team landed a big time receiver from Damascus, Maryland in Jalen Christian.
Just a couple of hours following his commitment at a pep rally at his school, in which Christian took just a USC hat along with him to announce his decision, he joined SportsTalk live to discuss his decision with us.
Christian told us why he chose the Gamecocks over his home-state Terps. In total, he held offers from over 20 programs across the country vying for his services.
Christian also elaborated on what type of player he most compares. He believes he’ll fit best in the slot at USC where Bruce Ellington and Ace Sanders have flourished in recent seasons.
He also delved into greater detail into the recruiting process with us, and why he believes prospects are seemingly having to commit earlier and earlier, and much more.
