Clemson is in a strong position with two of the top tight ends in the Southeast, and the question is which might fall to the Tigers. Garrett Williams of Orlando has Clemson in his final four and plans a decision before his spring game May 22nd.
Wednesday Jackson Harris of Columbia, TN revealed his final five as Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Vanderbilt.
Harris is not finished trimming. He plans to get to a final three in a few weeks and then make his decision from there. Harris plans to visit the schools one more time if possible.
“They are all places where I have a good feel for the staff and their offense and I could see myself at each one,” Harris said.
Wednesday Harris met with Clemson recruiter Robbie Caldwell at his school. “We had a good talk,” he said. “I really like him and the coaching staff. They are recruiting two other tight ends and he said they might be getting another one soon. And that’s fine. I have four other great options. I think Clemson is taking only one tight end.”
Harris had planned to make his commitment May 14th but some things have come up to cause him to push that date back.
“I don’t want to rush and want to think things thru,” he said adding the decision probably will come in June. There is no order to his final five.
