The media had an extremely busy day in the upstate today covering Clemson athletics. Head football coach Dabo Swinney held not one, but two teleconferences in regards to the progress of his team following spring practice. Newly minted starting quarterback Cole Stoudt also joined the fray and addressed the media for the first time ever as the man leading the offense at Clemson.
There’s been much suspicion regarding the Tigers on the hardwood as of late as well following their run all the way to the semifinals of the NIT at Madison Square Garden this past season. The question lingering around the program for weeks now has been surrounding the impending decision on whether or not star forward K.J. McDaniels would forego the remainder of his college eligibility and take his talents to the association.
His decision to turn pro finally went public yesterday, so today he and head basketball coach Brad Brownell held a press conference to talk about that decision, and also discuss the future of the basketball program at Clemson.
