His decision is made but OL TJ Haney of Gaffney will wait until Friday, the date he has set, to announce his decision. The two schools vying for his services are Wake Forest and Vanderbilt.
Haney spent his final visit this weekend at Wake Forest. He said the trip was an excellent one.
“It really went great,” he said. “I got a chance to tour the campus again and then I had a one-on-one with each of the coaches. I spent the night up there so I got to hang out with all of the players.”
Though he is speaking highly of the trip, he is not ready to divulge his choice. “The visit helped me decide,” Haney said. “I can’t wait until Friday to announce it and I’m done after that. I won’t take any more visits. I’m looking forward to focusing on my senior season and winning a state championship.”
Haney visited each school twice and is showing enthusiasm for both programs. There is no indication of a leader.
