Before we hit the air Wednesday afternoon we hit up former USC defensive lineman Kelcy Quarles to talk to him about his career at USC, how he feels about his pro prospects coming out of the NFL combine and heading into his pro day workout April 2nd, and much more.
Quarles updated us on which NFL franchises are showing him the most interest as of today (roughly 7-8 teams). He’s got a workout scheduled with New England on Friday morning. He provided his general thoughts on making the transition from college life to the pro lifestyle as well.
Quarles spent much of his career playing alongside Jadeveon Clowney. Quarles tells us how he believes playing alongside Clowney helped and hurt his production, and changes the way people perceived him as a player.
He also elaborated on where he believes the Gamecock program is now, his thoughts on the win streak over Clemson, and he also expounded upon his affinity for his physical stature.
