Clemson won another tight ACC home game Tuesday night fighting off Miami 58-54 two days after earning a double overtime victory over Maryland. The Tigers improved their ACC mark to 10-7 and are 19-10 overall.
It’s just the fourth time Clemson has won 10 ACC games in a season. And the Tigers also broke a three game losing streak to the Hurricanes.
It was a tight game all the way. The teams were tied at halftime at 27 but the Tigers eventually worked up an 8 point lead at the midway point of the second half.
Miami closed to within four on several occasions late but the Tigers held held on by hitting seven free throws in the final two minutes. Clemson outscored Miami from the line 12-2.
Rod Hall led Clemson with 14 points and 6 assists. KJ McDaniels had 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Damarcus Harrison added 12 points.
The Tigers close out the regular season at home Saturday at 4:00 PM against Pittsburgh. With a win, they will be the #5 seed in the ACC Tournament and will play next Thursday at 2:00 PM.
With a loss, they could be #6 or #7 seed depending on the outcome of the Florida State-Syracuse game.

Clemson guard Adonis Fowler suffered a strained hamstring late in the game and had to be aided from the court. His status for Saturday will be evaluated later in the week.
