For the first time since January of 2011 USC is on a two game SEC winning streak. The Gamecocks will attempt to make it three in a row in league play for the first time since January of 2009 (when they won four in a row) when they play at Arkansas Wednesday night.
The Gamecocks are 10-15 overall and 3-9 in the SEC which has them tied for last with Mississippi State. But a win along with losses by Auburn (at Florida) and Alabama (Thursday at Texas A&M) would bump the Gamecocks all the way to a tie for 11th.
Arkansas is coming off a home win over LSU and is 16-9 overall, 5-7 in the SEC. The Razorbacks are always tough to beat at home and that’s the case again this season. They are 13-2 at Bud Walton Arena with those losses coming to Florida and Missouri. Arkansas is the SEC’s top scoring team at over 81 points per game.
Tuesday afternoon Gamecock coach Frank Martin shared his thoughts on the game and also talked about the progress he sees in his program.
Tipoff will be at 9:00 PM Eastern Time with the game televised by CSS.
