Former Alabama running back Alvin Kamara will transfer to Hutchinson JC, KS to resume his football career. Kamara told 247Sports he plans to arrive at the school not later than Friday. Kamara is a native of Norcross, GA who spent one season as a redshirt at Alabama. He recently visited Clemson. The Tigers were strong suitors for him during his high school recruiting but have shied away from recruiting junior college players for several years. However, there is discussion taking place at Clemson about ending the self-imposed boycott of juco prospects. Kamara plans to graduate in December and will be free to transfer to any school without restrictions. Kamara was arrested Thursday in Norcross for driving on a suspended license, no driver’s license, safety belts required and failure to appear, according to the Gwinnett Post. He spent eight hours in jail before he was released on $1,824.
