The last time a USC team visited Columbia, MO, it was a good day for the Gamecocks. The Tigers missed a field goal in overtime and USC left with a crucial SEC football victory.
The Gamecocks can only hope the Tiger hoopsters are bouncing balls off the iron as Andrew Baggett did the football on that field goal attempt in late October.
This is a Missouri team that has struggled early in SEC play losing three of their first five games. And, indeed, their big men are having trouble making shots inside.
The Gamecocks, of course, are winless in SEC play largely because of bad defense, poor rebounding, too many fouls and turnovers. Other than that, they’re doing fine.
