Tuesday afternoon USC basketball coach Frank Martin began his comments with an apology to guard Brenton Williams for the manner in which he addressed him during Saturday’s one point loss to Ole Miss in Columbia.
He also apologized to fans who were sitting close by he believed may have heard the discourse.
Martin did talked basketball Tuesday as well. The Gamecocks are yet to win a game in league play, starting out 0-4 in the SEC with losses to Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss. Martin was quick to point out how close a number of those losses have been, and exclaimed his squad is “real close to being 3-1,” and that Martin himself, his staff, and his players are excited about just how close his team is to turning close losses into wins.
Tomorrow night the Gamecocks will be in Athens, GA to take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
