Clemson led wire to wire in defeating Boston College Saturday afternoon 62-60 at Chestnut Hill in the Tigers’ ACC opener. Clemson improves to 10-3 on the season.
The Tigers led 31-17 at halftime but had to hang on at the end.
Olivier Hanlan went to the line with the Eagles down two and less than two seconds to play. He missed the first free throw and then intentionally missed the second. Clemson secured the rebound to end the game.
KJ McDaniels led Clemson with 16 points and Jordan Roper had 15.
Hanlan led all scorers with 27 points.
Clemson plays its ACC home opener Thursday against Florida State.
