Ohio State opened the fourth quarter with the ball and trailing Clemson by five. Braxton Miller put together another solid drive and led the Buckyes back into the end zone and back into the lead. He did it with a 14 yard touchdown pass to Carlos Hyde. Miller took a hard shot on a roughing the passer on that play and was unable to stay in the game for the two point conversion attempt. That attempt failed. OSU led by one, 35-34 with 11:35 left.

Clemson didn’t waste any time getting back on top. Starting on its own 25 the Tigers moved down field and scored one a five yard touchdown pass from Tajh Boyd to Stanton Seckinger. Clemson’s two point attempt was no good. That made the score 40-35 with 6:16 left in the game.

Ohio State drove into Clemson teritory on the next possession but Miller caughed up the football on a hard hit and Spencer Shuey recovered for the Tigers. But the Tigers weren’t able to run out the clock as Boyd threw an interception with 1:27 left and the Buckeyes got one final chance starting from the Tigers 48.
Miller would return the favor a few seconds later as his pass over the middle was intercepted by Stephone Anthony at the Clemson 38. The Tigers were able to run out the clock this time and claim their first BCS victory.
