Today Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris and his top two weapons, Sammy Watkins and Tajh Boyd, collaborated to field questions about this week’s Orange Bowl matchup with Ohio State. A lot of interesting items were discussed, including Morris’ thoughts on how Watkins has improved his game over the past three seasons and Boyd calling Morris one of the most influential people he has ever met.
Here is something worth pondering: We know this is Tajh Boyd’s last game,. In all likelihood Sammy Watkins will declare early for the NFL draft sometime in the next few weeks. Also, the football coaching carousel is about crank up to warp speed and you better believe Chad Morris’ name is going to be on a lot of people’s radar, especially if the Tigers have a big night offensively against the Buckeyes. It begs the question, could this be the final game at Clemson for all three of these guys? There is more than a slim possibility that it could be.
