Orangeburg-Wilkinson head football coach Tommy Brown is tasked with leading the South Carolina squad against the Tar Heels of North Carolina in Saturday’s Shrine Bowl all-star game in Spartanburg.
Phil Kornblut was in the upstate today and caught up with coach Brown to get his thoughts on what he’s seen from his Sandlapper squad all week.
Brown believes his team has been really receptive to his staff’s philosophy and coaching this week, and is really excited to see what kind of product his squad will put on the field Saturday.
Brown will implement a fast paced spread offense, but hasn’t decided which quarterback will start Saturday. He’s going to wait until all practices are complete, and will decide Friday between Stratford’s Jacob Park and Northwestern’s Mason Rudolph.
Brown also detailed how he plans on using his rotations to get all of his players a certain amount of snaps, and much more.
