The 9th ranked Clemson football will have to move on from their 51-14 shellacking at the hands of Florida State last Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Saturday’s loss was the first of their first of the season, and if they want to have any shot of getting back in the ACC race, they’ll more than likely need to run the table henceforth in league games.
The Tigers make their way to College Park, Maryland this week to take on a reeling Maryland team. The Terps were considered a dark horse by many all season long in the ACC until the very same Florida State team that blew out Clemson last weekend, throttled Maryland 63-0 in Tallahassee two weeks prior. The Terrapins have since seen both of their top wideouts go down with injuries, and the signal caller that gave Clemson fits at Maryland two years ago, C.J. Brown, will not suit up either.
Earlier this week Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables talked redemption and how he has to prepare for a depleted Maryland squad.
