Steve Spurrier announced Wednesday that Connor Shaw will get the start quarterback Saturday against Kentucky. It is pretty remarkable news considering Shaw was supposed to miss a couple of weeks after injuring his shoulder in the first quarter against UCF last week.“Looks like Connor is going to be fine,” Spurrier said. “He was throwing the ball very well today. It looks like he will be the starter and Dylan (Thompson) will probably go in about the third or fourth possession. They both deserve to play we think. We’ll send them both out there and go from there.”
Spurrier also further addressed all of the buzz about the way he appeared on his Sunday television show and his reason for requesting it not to air again and be scrubbed from the web. Spoiler alert: He says it was because he was too negative during the show.
