Tuesday Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables addressed the media before the Wake Forest Demon Decons make their way to Death Valley on Saturday.
Venables took two approaches when asked to assess his unit thus far in the season: the glass half full, and the glass half empty. He’s pleased with the improvement, the effort, and the fact the Tigers are 3-0. Venables also sees plenty of room for improvement in certain areas as well, however.
Venables also addressed the play of two of his defensive lineman, freshman Shaq Lawson and junior Vic Beasley. Lawson was recently touted as the best freshman defensive lineman in head coach Dabo Swinney’s tenure, according Swinney himself. You can find Beasley’s name near the top of the list on the national sack list.
