Thursday night Tajh Boyd will return to Carter-Finley Stadium to take on NC State. The last time the Tigers took their high-octane offensive show on the road to Raleigh they were ranked 7th in the country and had taken the country by storm with their newfound explosiveness and big play potential, headlined by quarterback Tajh Boyd and freshman sensation receiver Sammy Watkins.
Clemson left Raleigh in late November 2011 with their tails between their legs after being blown out by the Wolfpack 37-13. Although Boyd himself says he doesn’t believe in revenge because it’s just football, his team will be looking for retribution from the last go round at Carter-Finley.
The senior signal caller discusses playing NC State on the road for the last time, what the team will have to do to replace injured receiver Charone Peake, which will include a larger role for Adam Humphries, and much more.
