In case you haven’t seen it or want to see it again; here is the video of USC linebackers coach Kirk Botkin and defensive line coach Deke Adams yelling at each other and getting in each other’s face before they were separated by defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward. After the game Steve Spurrier downplayed the incident, but you have to think he’s not real happy about two of his coaches almost coming to blows in the middle of a game. It doesn’t help that the Gamecock defense had its worse game since 2010 and played terrible after this incident occurred. Sure things can happen in the heat of battle, but coaches are supposed to be above these sort of shenanigans. How can you demand your players to play smart and under control if you can’t do it yourself?
