Clemson has offered junior DB Calvin Brewton (6-0 175) Miami and the safety has strong interest in the Tigers. “Clemson is one of the schools I’ve been looking forward to hearing from the longest,” Brewton said. “I love watching them play. Death Valley just looks like a great place. I see they are a clutch team. They always find a way to win big games. They just had two big wins over SEC teams.” Brewton has not visited Clemson but hopes to get in for a game this season. He said it’s too early in the process for him to have a clear favorite but “I’m very high on Clemson. And I like Florida State a lot.” Brewton also has offers from Florida State, South Florida and West Virginia. He could have a decision in the spring.
WR Michael Bowman of Havelock, NC is one of that state’s top prospects for the 2015 class. He has offers from USC, North Carolina, NC State, Penn State and East Carolina. Last Saturday he watched NC State play their first game under new coach Dave Doeren “Their offense is similar to our offense,” Bowman said of the new up tempo attack by the Wolfpack. Bowman plans to get to USC for some games this season and he hears often from recruiter Deke Adams. About USC, Bowman said he likes “the facilities and the coach.” Bowman does not have a favorite saying “all the schools are about the same.” He doesn’t plan to make a decision until after his senior season. Last season Bowman had 58 catches for 856 yards and 6 touchdowns.
WR Trevion Thompson of Durham, NC has a top six of Clemson, North Carolina, Florida State, Ohio State, NC State and West Virginia with no favorite. He was at Clemson for the Georgia game. He plans to take his official visits before deciding.
