Clemson’s upset over then 5th ranked Georgia has pushed the Tigers to 4th in the latest AP Top 25 poll. This is the highest AP ranking for Clemson since week two of the 1988 season.
Alabama continues to hold the top spot, then its Oregon and Ohio State in the second and third slots. Stanford is ranked fifth.
USC, coming off a 27-10 home win over North Carolina in its season opener last week, remains sixth in the poll.
Clemson is at home against FCS foe South Carolina State this weekend. USC is at Georgia. The Bulldogs are ranked 11th this week. They are a three point favorite over the Gamecocks.
