USC worked out Sunday night and the defense continued its preparations for a high scoring North Carolina offense. The Tar Heels are a quick snap team that will try to run 80 or more plays on the Gamecocks. Quarterback Bryn Renner is one of the ACC’s top returning passers. His top receivers are former USC commitment Sean Tapley and Gaffney native Quinshad Davis, a player USC recruited but failed to land.
After Sunday’s practice, Gamecock secondary coach Grady Brown updated his players and talked about getting ready for the Tar Heel attack.
The Gamecocks will practice again Monday night.
