The USC defense dominated Saturday’s scrimmage at Williams-Brice Stadium. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney proved to be unblockable in pass rush in his short stint. The rest of the defensive line kept a lot of pressure on the Gamecock quarterbacks and the secondary came up with a pair of interceptions.
Despite the strong showing, USC defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward wasn’t turning cartwheels over his unit’s performance noting there’s still plenty to be accomplished before the season opener a week from Thursday.
