USC second baseman Max Schrock and Clemson starting pitcher Matthew Crownover have both earned Freshman All-America honors from baseball America. Both are on the second team. Schrock hit .282 with six home runs and 14 stolen bases. Crownover was 7-3 with a 2.19 ERA this season.
College of Charleston first baseman Carl Wise also made the second team. Wise hit .321 with 10 home runs and 30 RBIs.

Also, Clemson and USC will be represented in Omaha for the home run derby at TD Ameritrade Stadium tonight. Tigers catcher Garrett Boulware is in the field. So is USC shortstop Joey Pankake. The derby will be taped tonight and broadcast nationally on ESPN July 4th.
