If you’ve ever wanted to open an “anti-aging” clinic in downtown Charleston this might be a good week to have your grand opening. Yankees slugger and admitted performance enhancer Alex Rodriguez is coming to the Holy City to make a rehab start with the Charleston RiverDogs.
A-Rod is slated to join Single-A Charleston on Tuesday. He’ll man third base and, barring incident, play a minimum of three innings in his first game. From that point, Rodriguez will have 20 days to work his way back to the Yankees’ active roster. Rodriguez is recovering from January surgery on his left hip.
A-Rod and the RiverDogs will play Rome. Wednesday night. The game starts at 7:00 at Riley Park.
