The 2013 NFL Draft is still being analyzed, but the analysts already are turning their attention to the 2014 prospects. And according to NFLDraftScout.com senior analyst Dane Brugler, the clear #1 player for the 2014 draft pool is USC rising junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
Brugler’s description of Clowney on CBSSports.com:
“A freak athlete for his size, Clowney has the prototypical size, strength and explosive traits to abuse blockers and blow up the backfield.”
Clowney is one of three in-state players Brugler ranks among the top 50 prospects for next year’s draft. He has Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd at #10, Clemson junior receiver Sammie Watkins at #14, and USC defensive end Chaz Sutton at #39.
