Friday morning Hartsville High guard Jaylen Shaw committed to play his college ball for Frank Martin at the University of South Carolina. Friday evening we had his high school coach, Aric Samuel, on the program to talk about what type of player the Gamecocks are getting, and what fans can expect from the young main once he steps on campus.
Coach Samuel and Shaw were a potent enough combination to take home a state title in 2013. Shaw, who originally committed to play at High Point, saw his stock rise following his MVP performance at the Carolina’s All-Star Classic. He chose USC over the likes of Clemson, Tulane, and Alabama.
