Today marked day ten of the Clemson football team’s spring practice festivities in the upstate. Following Thursday’s practice, Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris spoke with reporters about what he’s observed from the day things got underway, up until today.
Morris spent quite some time addressing the progression of his offensive line. He is still looking to get some continuity going for his offensive lineman, and is hopeful that the final few practices will provide some answers. At this point, however, Morris doesn’t believe he’ll be able to get a starting five up front set before fall camp.
Morris also plans to shake things up with former All-American receiver Sammy Watkins, who took the college football world by storm in 2011, only to suffer setbacks on and off the field, in 2012. Coach explains why he’s making the move and what it will take to maximize Watkins’ production headed into 2013.
