The Clemson Tigers could not take the series from top-ranked North Carolina, but the Tigers did pull out the final game of the three-game set in Chapel Hill. Clemson squeaked out a 5-4, extra-inning victory to end the weekend on a high note and improve to 6-6 in ACC play
Head coach Jack Leggett spoke with us tonight about the series against the Tar Heels, who he called the “best team” Clemson has faced this season. He also talked about Clemson’s next ACC series, which will take place in Chestnut Hill against the Boston College Eagles. Leggett said he would rather play “anywhere else” and that the Tigers will have to create their own excitement while playing in a “place that has no crowd.”
